Be watchful and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you. -Deuteronomy 12:28

All throughout scripture we see benefits if we obey scripture. One major thing I’ve learned that comes from obedience is that obedience leads to freedom and it drives out fear. This applies to any rules or laws that are placed over us. Here’s what I mean:

If you don’t cheat on your test, you won’t have to constantly fear getting caught and kicked out of school.

If you don’t speed on the roads, you won’t have to constantly fear getting pulled over by a cop.

If you don’t have sex before marriage, you won’t have to constantly fear that you’ll end up having a child at a young age.

Obedience to God’s word and the law drives out fear. It’s an extremely freeing place to be when we can walk in complete obedience. Why? Because we aren’t living in fear.

Obedience = Freedom. Hope this blesses y’all.
