A Full Reward

“Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.” 2John 8-9

There is no doubt in my mind that many people have grown in many different ways over this past school year. I believe that we have learned many important lessons as we have grown in each other and in Christ. We’ve experienced God in new ways, we’ve heard from Him in new ways, we’ve built new relationships, and we continue to learn and grow consistently. In the verse above, John tells us to not lose what we have worked for. I don’t need to tell everyone, but if there is a time for teenagers to slip, it’s over the summer.

This summer, don’t use your extra time to get yourself into trouble and fall away from Christ, but use it to challenge yourself and chase after Him. Lets go after it, the Bible promises us a full reward, and that sounds pretty good to me.
